April 6, 2015 I am finally here!

                                                                  Sister Taguba and Me

April 6, 2015

Family!!  I am finally here and I have to say that it has been a tough week!  When I found out I was in a biking part of the mission I was like - you got to be kidding me!  My legs are going to be buff when I leave and my thighs are going to kill. You know what - I was right!  The first couple of days I would sit down on the ground and cry because it hurt so much.  Then eventually I just laughed at it and I went on with it.  Our mission supplies the bikes. So I won't have to spend money on it.

My asthma has been okay, but mostly at night I have to use my inhaler.  My companion is Sister Taguba.  She is 24 years old and from the Philippines. She is the BEST trainer ever.

I am so glad to hear about Easter and I so miss the girls.  To see them in that picture, I cried.  I talk about them so much.

I have a letter I will be sending you because I forgot it at home in my scriptures. The fist day was pretty laid back. I completely unpacked and was ready to go out.  My companion was like, we will go out tomorrow.  I know you are excited, but calm down.

It is freezing here. It snowed on us the SECOND DAY!!  SECOND DAY!!  Can you believe it?  I had no jacket so I had to get one from one of the sister missionaries to borrow, but then later I went to the store and bought one. It is pretty warm.

Sister Taguba just got word that she lost her grandmother and she is devastated.  She is currently in the bathroom crying. I tried my best to comfort her, but she wanted to be left alone. I just went in with her to have a blessing so hopefully she will be okay. So keep her in your prayers.

Sounds like your weekend was pretty fun. We watched General Conference at the stake center with the Elders and and it was pretty fun.  The Spirit was wonderful there and I loved every second of it.  I'll be sending you pictures in an email soon after this one.

I miss you guys so much. I kept thinking of you guys when we were at Bishop Winn's house  yesterday. Their family reminded me so much of us and how close we all are. There was this little girl that reminded me so much of Jayda.  The other day we were are at a neighbors house and a little girl came in who was about 4 years old and looked like her but darker skinned. Her personality was just like Jayda's and then I started to miss her even more.

I do have a testimony of this gospel and I know it is true. I know that our Savior died for us and was resurrected. He died for us so that we may become worthy to return to our Heavenly Father.  I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and that he did restore this gospel.  I know that Heavenly Father is watching us and He did send His strongest children to this earth to go through the roughest trials so that we may gain hope, to bring us closer to Him, and help us endure to the end.  We can get back to Him only when we do what is right and by the grace of God and through Jesus Christ we are saved after all we can do.  I know that I was sent here for a reason.  I know that it is only my first transfer, but I know that the people here need me and Heavenly Father is pointing me in the right direction.

Okay, I have to go, but I love you guys and hopefully you'll get my letter soon.  Write back - I expect something from everyone!!  Thank you for the package. I loved it!  Cason thank you for the picture.  I loved it!

With much love,   Chelsea
