Thank you guys for the Counsel.
Ciara says Baby J still cries for me. It breaks my heart to hear that. I miss her so much. I bought her a birthday present. I just have to send it. It should be there this week.
This week was really good. The part- member families I mentioned before have 3 baptismal dates. One on June 20th and July 4. This is going to be really good for them. I just wish that the parent's knew how important the gospel was and maybe they would have an interest in coming back. They sit in on the lessons and they ask questions, but I don't think they'll be coming to church anytime soon. The kid's names are Kayden Anderson and Christian Smith. They are cousins and their date is July 4th. The other one is Kassidy Schramm. She is 15 year's old and she is amazing. She has been to church before with a family that lived across the street from her, but stopped when they moved. Her date for baptism is next Saturday. Her mother is a member, but denies she know's anything about being baptized. Brandy Young is the other one. I have mentioned her before. Well I don't know what to do with her anymore. She is taking the lesson's seriously, but she isn't taking the time to go to church, and do her commitments. I honestly don't know what to do with her.The other investigators are doing good but I don't know what to do with them either. We mostly work with less- active members or the part-member families.
It is truly amzing how the Lord trusts us – even as we are the “weak and simple” of the earth – to proclaim the fullness of His gospel (D&C 1:23). He makes incredible promises:
“By hearkening to observe all the words which I, the Lord their God, shall speak unto them, they shall never cease to prevail until the kingdoms of the world are subdued under my feet…” (D&C 103:7)
Jacob spoke of the missionary effort in his time: “We did magnify our office unto the Lord, taking upon us the responsibility, answering the sins of the people upon our own heads if we did not teach them the word of God with all diligence; … otherwise their blood would come upon our garments, and we would not be found spotless at the last day.” (Jacob 1:19) I love this reference that President gave us this week. You guys can also do this as well back at home. As we harken to observe all of the words the Lord has given us, we will be successful in His eyes. We will be guided by His spirit to do His work. We will teach as He taught. We will strive to BECOME like Him. You can be the missionary even though you don't have a name tag. I know that there is missionary work all around us.
Transfers are in a week and half. It's gone by so fast. I don't know where it's gone!!! Sister Taguba has been out for 9 months. That's half way. Just have faith that I'll be able get that far and maybe finish my mission. I have faith that I can.
It's sad to hear about Cason, but know that he'll be okay. I hope everything goes well this week for you guys.

Chelsea beat us this week in emailing first. When I emailed her letter I noticed she was on line. So we were able to write back and forth.
MOM - I just emailed our letter and realized you were there.
CHELSEA - Yeah I am. I was worried when I got on that there wasn't a letter. I'm glad there is now.
MOM - Dad and I are sitting here together and he was adding to my email. You are there ealier this week.
CHELSEA - Not really. It's the same time - haha. I haven't started my letter to you yet. What are you guys doing today?
MOM - We are waiting for Cason to get out of surgery and then we will be taking care of him the rest of the day. His arm wasn't healing like it should so they are putting plates and screws in it to hold it together.
CHELSEA - I just read the letter. I feel so bad for him. I hope everything goes well. When did he go in? Thank you for the advice.
MOM - Yep - he is going to be sore, but it will heal much better.
CHELSEA - Well i hope he gets better. He'll be in my prayers.
MOM - Are you writing our big letter now? And how much time do you have left?
CHELSEA - Yeah I am and I have about 45 minutes left.
MOM - I just didn't want you to run out of time and not get to write us. We sure love you!!
CHELSEA - I'll have time. I love you too!!
MOM - They just came and said his surgery is just about over. So the doctor should be coming out soon. I am glad, cuz I am hungry!
CHELSEA - Hahah I'm glad it's almost over. Tell me what the doctor says and please record everything he says. Drugs are funny on him please.
MOM - Ha ha - That is true. They gave him a little bit before he went back and he had already started to be funny.
CHELSEA - Haha Video it and send it to me please! I want to see him and maybe the little girls if they're still there. Just a video so I can see them.
MOM - He did really well. He is in recovery right now. It will be another 30 minutes or so before we can go back.
CHELSEA - Okay thank you. I'm glad that it went well
MOM - Hey..... no talk about maybe finishing. You are going to finish! I know that without a doubt. The time goes by fast because you are busy doing the Lord's work. It will be nine months so fast and you will be saying... "Oh I love my mission. I don't want it to end"
MOM - I know you will and you will be awesome at it. Are you getting close to having to leave? Know that we love you. We pray for you always and so do a whole bunch of other people. Remember the scripture I gave you last time about doing all that you can and then watching the Lord work. You continue to teach and support the investigators. You may only be the seed. Do all you can and the Lord will not forget them nor you. We love you sooooo much and are so pleased with you and your decisions. Chelsea you are such an example to all of us. Have fun!! Do your best!! And carry on!!! YOU CAN DO THIS AND BE AWESOME AT IT!!! Love you - until next week. MOM & DAD
