MOM: There you are! It's good to hear from you. I was wondering where you were. How are you this week?
CHELS: Ha Ha. It's really good to hear from you! I look forward to Monday every week. My week was really good. How was your's?
MOM: Mine was good too. Just a normal week for me. I am glad to hear you had a good one. Things must be going better.
CHELS: Yea, they are. President made a surprise visit last night to the apartment. It was really good though because hurried and cleaned the room really good. I can actually see the floor now.
MOM: Wasn't your apartment clean before he came or did he have you clean it? Why was your floor so dirty? I hope you have been cleaning - I certainly taught you better than that. Why did he stop by? You doing okay? Lots of questions...
CHELS: It was clean before he came. He gave us some time to really clean it though. I have been cleaning it, but it has been a rough couple of days. So it was really dirty, like we had trash and plates that had accumulated. So we just hurried and cleaned everything up - cleaned off our desk and made sure the room was clean. I haven't been feeling good. I have had a migraine, a really bad one. But it was good to talk to him. We didn't even go into the room. So it was kind of not worth cleaning it, but it needed to happen.
He stopped by to talk to us. He wanted to apologize to us, for being a little harsh on us. Then we started talking about how we want our mission to be, how we wanted to go home and be a good spouse and a good daughter. We discussed our concerns and our need and wants for the mission. It was really good to really talk to him. Then right before he left he told us we were staying in the area. I was so happy. My migraine got worse so after he left, I went right to bed.
MOM: Oh - so you had been straightening up, but haven't deep cleaned huh? I see. Try to keep on top of it okay. It can get messy really fast when you don't stay on top of things. It only takes a minute to throw things away when you are done with them.
About your headache - Make sure you are drinking enough water. Sometimes being dehydrated can cause you to have a headache. Also, little to no sugar will help. Remember how you get when you eat a lot of sugar. I did send you some in your package - sorry. Eat it slowly. :) Also, are you still exercising? Believe it or not, exercise can help with headaches. It gets the toxins moving out of your system. Did you ask President for a blessing? If it doesn't go away soon, you need to ask for one.
CHELS: We just straightened up so no deep clean. No I didn't ask President to give me a blessing even though I thought it would be good to ask, but I didn't.
MOM: Next time please ask. It will really help. You know you can ask for one anytime. That's one thing they are there for.
CHELS: I am glad that you had a chance to talk to your president. I am glad it's better. I appreciate your willingness to do what's right. It really does pay off.
MOM: How much longer do you get to stay?
CHELS: I will. I was going to ask, but then I felt weird. I don't know how much longer I'm going to stay. I have to get the letter done. I don't know what to write, so I'm having a brain fart.
MOM: Tell us what you do during the day. What your area is like? Things like that. We are having our trunk or treat tomorrow. I volunteered to decorate our trunk. I think I am going to do Charlie Brown the Great pumpkin. I will take pictures for you to see.
CHELS: Sweet that sounds like fun! I would love Pictures!! I'm happy for you guys. I miss our Trunk or Treats. I think we will be going to one this Friday! I'm excited for that.
MOM: Send pictures of your's this week. Also, send a picture of you - I would like one each week please!! What are you going to do after you leave? What's next on your schedule? We are cleaning the chapel tonight and then I have to go home and get ready for the trunk or treat.
MOM: We would probably do that, but I have lots to do for tomorrow. Funny thing..... yesterday it was such a nice day we BBQ. Well, dad went home teaching, so I was helping BBQ. I had to go inside for a minute and I came out to the BBQ grill with smoke and flames coming out of it. I burnt the food so much that I had to throw it away. Luckily that was round one. I had more meat left so at least we didn't go without. Have fun playing games. That sounds so fun.
CHELS: Ha Ha! That's funny. I love you. I have to go.
